The Board’s role is to provide strategic advice and guidance to achieve and maintain the Institute’s vision of being a recognised leader in the provision of quality education and training that meets the diverse needs of its customers. The WSI Board is supported in its role by five Action Groups namely: - Educational Leadership Group
- Business Strategy Group
- Institute Improvement Group
- Resource Strategy Group
- Aboriginal Advisory Committee
The role of the Action Groups is to advise the WSI Board on policies, priorities, strategies and initiatives to assist the Institute to achieve its strategic directions and to continuously improve performance. Each Action Group is comprised of a cross section of Institute Managers and operates with a set Terms of Reference. Additionally, the Aboriginal Advisory Committee comprises Aboriginal staff, Aboriginal community workers and elders.
